TechCentric (TC) Design Group, LLC was founded in early 2005 to offer software and hardware development services to researchers in the life sciences. We hope that through the development of better tools with which to study the brain and nervous system that the basis for neurological function and dysfunction may be understood. Better understanding will lead to new treatments and cures for what are now untreatable or incurable conditions.
TechCentric develops computer-based instrumentation utilizing an approach which draws from both the Distributed Development and Virtual Team paradigms. Using web-based communication, collaboration and development tools we are able to marshall disparate resources, gain better control of project costs, utilize skilled developers or fabricators located anywhere in the world, and eliminate the overhead associated with maintaining a large central office/laboratory facility. Industry standard methodologies and best practices such as object oriented design using the UML are employed as part of our development process. We have expertise in a number of programming and scripting languages including (but not limited to): C, C++, Java, PHP, LabView, MatLab, SQL, Javascript, and HTML/CSS. Supported OS platforms include: Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows.
In 2008 we began doing business as GX Media Services to distinguish our publishing, web design and digital video production services from our primary line of business. While all inquiries are welcome, GX's primary focus is on projects relating to research, educational, or instructional content.
